"Bamford, who used the exploration tool 'Google Ocean', says the grid looks like a map of the city - but Google has debunked this theory. A spokeswoman for Google said in a statement:
"It's true that many amazing discoveries have been made in Google Earth. In this case, however, the image is an artifact of the data collection process, not the city of Atlantis."
